Terms of Service

Closed alpha. This service is run by an individual and offered free to invited testers. There is no business registration behind it yet and nothing here is charged for. Expect bugs, expect figures to change, and keep your own records — see the accuracy note below.
This is not financial advice
CashFlowNamics is a calculator and a record-keeper. It is not a financial adviser, a broker, an accountant or a tax adviser, and nothing it shows you is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold anything. Projections, retirement dates, safe-withdrawal figures and tax estimates are arithmetic applied to assumptions you chose, on data you entered. They are not predictions, and the future will not match them. Before acting on anything here, talk to a qualified professional.
The service
CashFlowNamics provides a web application for tracking a personal investment portfolio, income and expenses, and for modelling long-term outcomes from them. These terms are the agreement between you and us. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.
Your account
- You sign in with Google. Keep that account secure — anyone who controls it controls yours.
- One account per person. You are responsible for what happens under it.
- You must be at least 16 years old.
- Give us accurate information. Your country of residence in particular drives the tax rules the app applies; a wrong one produces wrong figures.
Accuracy, and what we cannot promise
Market prices, dividend data, company information and instrument reference data come from third parties. They can be delayed, incomplete or simply wrong, and we do not verify them independently. Where a price is missing or stale the app tries to tell you so — but you should treat every figure as an estimate and check anything that matters against your broker and your own records.
Tax calculations are simplified models of complicated rules that differ by country and change over time. They are a guide to the shape of a liability, not a tax return.
What you may not do
- Break the law with it, or use it to harm anyone.
- Try to access another user's data, or probe the service for weaknesses without asking us first. If you find something, tell us — we would rather hear it from you.
- Scrape it, resell it, or run it as a service for other people without our agreement.
- Upload anything unlawful or anything you do not have the right to.
Your data is yours
You keep every right in the data you put in. You give us permission to store and process it only so far as running the service requires. You can download all of it at any time from Settings → Account, and you can delete your account there too. What we do with it is set out in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
Plans and payment
Some features depend on a paid plan. Prices are shown before you buy, include VAT where it applies, and recur until you cancel. You can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. We do not refund part-periods unless the law where you live says otherwise — and if you are a consumer in the EU, it does say otherwise in some cases, and those rights are not affected by anything here.
A free plan exists and stays usable. If you stop paying, your data is not deleted: the limits of the free plan apply again, and anything above them becomes read-only rather than disappearing.
Ending it
You may delete your account at any time. Deletion is final after 30 days and signing in again during that time cancels it.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or that we are legally required to close. Except where the law or a serious breach makes it impossible, we will tell you why and give you a chance to download your data first.
Liability
The service is provided as it is. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for investment losses, tax consequences, or decisions taken on the basis of anything the app displayed. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited — and if you are a consumer, your statutory rights stand regardless of this section.
Changes
We may change these terms. If a change matters, we will raise the version and ask you to accept it again the next time you sign in. If you do not want to accept it, you can download your data and close your account.
Law
Belgian law governs these terms, and the courts of Belgium have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory law of the country you live in.
